It's Time to Pick Courses For Next Year!

Believe it or not it is time for our students to pick their classes for the 2018-2019 school year. To date each grade has been to an ‘Option Sheet’ Assembly and our grade 9 and 10 students have had the opportunity to participate in a ‘Walkabout’. During the Option Sheet Assembly our guidance department reviewed with students course offerings, graduation requirements and our new process for course selections. Students also had the opportunity to visit different program areas and learn more about Vanier’s course offerings. We will again be using Career Cruising, an online tool, to enter course selections. Parents are strongly encouraged to visit the Career Cruising website with their child and take a look at the many useful features of the program, including historical grades, diploma requirements, post secondary program requirements, career information and career inventories. Over the next week students will be bringing home option sheets printed from Career Cruising for parent signature. These signed option sheets are due back to homeroom teachers by Friday, March 2, 2018.
