After School OSSLT Prep Program
Published on Feb 15, 2017 09:32

On March 30, 2017 Grade 10 students across the province will be writing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT). The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) measures whether or not students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Jean Vanier will be offering an After School OSSLT Prep Program which will help students prepare for the OSSLT. The program will run Mondays and Wednesdays after school. Each session will be 60 minutes in length and begin at 3:15 PM in Rm 161. The first session will be on February 22, 2017. The session will run for five weeks ending March 27, 2017.

This program is available for ALL students in Grade 10 and any students who were unsuccessful on the test last year. There is no cost for this program. In addition, transportation is not available. Therefore, participating students who live outside of Collingwood will need to make travel arrangements.

If you would like your child to participate in the program please email Ms Coulter at [email protected]. In order for the program to run, fifteen students must be enrolled.
