Hello Summer!

It is difficult to believe that we have finished yet another school year. The year end is a time of mixed emotions in our school community as we celebrate the accomplishments and exciting activities of the 2016-2017 and also say goodbye to our Grade 12 graduating students. We congratulate our graduates on their achievements and wish them well in their future endeavours.
It has been a wonderful and busy year! From academics to leadership, the arts, athletics, co-curriculars, community service, and much more, we are reminded daily of how blessed we are to belong to such a dynamic community. Thank you to our staff and students for their involvement and in living our vision of making Vanier “a place of belonging” on a daily basis.
As we wrap up the 2016-2017 school year there are a few important dates that we would like to make you aware of:
1) Final Reports: Will be available for pick up from the main office on Wednesday, July 5th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Thursday, July 6th from 8:00 AM to 4:000 PM. Reports not picked up by Thursday will be mailed home.
2) DGN Kilters In School Uniform Sale: Will take place on Wednesday, August 23rd from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, August 24th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the school gym.
3) Best Buddies Gently Used Uniform Sale: Will take place on August 31st from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in room 104.
4) Grade 9 Orientation: Will take place on Thursday, August 31st 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
5 Finalized Timetables: Will be given out on the first day of school (Tuesday, September 5th). When students arrive to school, their homeroom will be posted in the hallway. Timetables will be distributed during students’ first period class. The guidance office will re-open on August 28th should a student need to make a guidance appointment regarding course selection.
6) 2017-2018 School Year Begins: Tuesday, September 5th.
